TWO OF Thurrock’s high-profile campaigners have continued to campaign for better housing conditions in both South Ockendon and the rest of the borough.
Terminally-ill Dee Lodge and veteran campaigner Peter Perrin both put questions to the new portfolio holder for housing, cllr Lynn Worrall.
Mrs Lodge continues to be highly critical of the council’s performance in regards to the treatment of mould and levels of communications.
I have been informed by those sitting in the gallery that the Director of Housing Barbara Brownlee was sniggering behind my back while I fight for my life asking why the mould in my home has not been eradicated after nearly two years. Does this not prove the contempt TBC have for their residents to feel it is a laughing matter.
