THURROCK Council is giving away free blue plastic bags for people’s extra Christmas recycling.
Residents can collect bags from libraries or area offices and staff will also be giving away bags at supermarkets across the borough.
The bags will be taken with Christmas and New Year waste and recycling between Monday, 29 December and Monday. 12 January.
Bags should be tied and left next to the blue bin for collection.
