A NUMBER of swimmers from Thurrock SC competed at Hillingdon’s level 2 meet. This meet was full of national medallists and record holders and was a very high class meet.
Jack Williams set a 2 sec PB in the 100 free and another best time in the 50 fly. Rebecca West swam a great 100 fly achieving a 3 sec PB (and Essex QT) and made the final fishing 8th. She also set another best time in the 50 breast, 50 back, 50 fly, a 2 sec PB in the 400IM and a 3sec PB in the 200 fly which was a Regional time.
Martine Tran equalled her best times in the 100 back, 100 fly and 50 free. Martine achieved a PB and Regional time in the 50 back and a 1 sec PB in the 100 free. Sam Barella achieved an Essex QT in the 50 back, a PB in the 50 free and just outside of his best in the 50 fly & 100 fly. Tilly Mayes achieved a massive 3 sec PB in the 50 breast and a 1 sec PB in the 50 free. She also smashed her PB in the 50 back, 50 fly (3/100ths outside of the regional qt), 100 breast and 200 IM. Aimee Newport achieved a best time in the 100 back, 50 back,200IM and equallyed her PB in the 50 fly. In the 200 back, she was under 1 sec outside of the Regional QT. James Edgings achieved a 1 sec PB in the 50 fly.
Mia Fursedonne equalled her best in the 50m free and just outside in the 200 free. She also achieved over a 1 sec PB in the 100 free and just outside of her best in the 50 fly. Annabel Speers achieved a PB in the 50 free and 50 fly and just outside of her 100 & 200 fc PB. Abigayle Still swam to a best time in the 50 free and PBs in the 50 back, 50 fly and 200IM. Aaron Lambie achieved a regional time in the 200 fly and a 1 sec PB in the 200 IM.
