WHAT a fantastic day was had by all that visited the Orsett Show this weekend. The weather was kind to the 13,500 people who attended this year’s Show and there were lot of smiling faces around the Showground.
The displays in the Main Ring and the acts on the Impulse Leisure Stage kept people entertained as well as the cast of this year’s Pantomime at the Thameside Theatre in Grays which this year is Snow White. Snow White and her Prince Charming who is Jeff Brazier (from ITV’s This Morning and Dancing on Ice) were a big hit with the crowds.
There was lots of activity in the Horse Ring with the many classes and lots to see in the Hobbies & Handicraft, Schools, Horticulture and Craft Marquees as well as the Food Court and numerous Trade Stands.
The end of the Show saw the Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Steve Liddiard, this year’s Orsett Show President Robert Lyons and Jeff Brazier pull out the winning tickets of the 2014 Thurrock Community Chest and call the winner of the car!
