FIRE CREWS were called to the Civic Offices in New Road, Grays, where a 60 year old man had super glued his hand to a desk.
Leading Firefighter Tom Wass of Grays Fire Station, who attended the incident, said:
"We were called to release a man who had super glued his hand to a desk. The man is believed to have been a disgruntled customer.
"We had a think about it and thought the best way to get him free was to use a solvent so we borrowed some nail varnish remover from the office staff and used it to dissolve the glue and free him."
Firefighters released the man by 17:02hrs.
An ambulance was called but the man declined treatment.
