    East Thurrock United 4 v 1 Farnborough

EAST Thurrock produced a strong performance to overwhelm lowly Farnborough Town 4-1 at Rookery Hill.

But it was the Hampshire side that took the lead with a 23rd minute goal by Gary MacDonald.

For a long time, it looked like the Rocks would not be able to score but then scored four in the last twenty four minutes through Darren Phillips (76), Adam Yusuff (81 and 86) and Tom Wraight in the 84th minute.

Despite it being an injury blighted season, East Thurrock now find themselves eleventh in the league, just five points off the play offs.

Rocks return to action on Saturday away at Merthyr Town in the FA Trophy.
