ESSEX Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at Chelmsford Star Co-op in Tilbury.
It happened shortly before 7.30pm on Monday, February 23. Two white men entered the store in Calcutta Road, one armed with what was believed to be a firearm and one with a kitchen knife.
The men demanded cash from the till before striking a female cashier to the face when she refused. The men left with a small amount of cash, on foot in the direction of Quebec Road.
The man carrying the firearm is described as around 5 ft 10 ins tall, of medium build and aged between 18 and 30. He was wearing a white hooded top, black gloves, dark jogging bottoms, black shoes and white material covering his face.
The man holding the knife is described as around 5 ft 8 ins tall, of large build and aged between 18 and 30. He was seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, gloves and a black balaclava.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw these to contact them at Grays CID on 101.
