    Thurrock 0 v 2 AFC Sudbury

IF there is a form team in this league then it is AFC Sudbury and so it was no disgrace to see Thurrock go down 2-0 at Ship Lane.

However, this result leaves Thurrock seven points off the play off places with just nine games to play.

They do have a game in hand but it is a big ask.

Luke Callendar opened the scoring for Sudbury as he blasted a shot past Rhys Madden.

Sudbury extended their lead when another one-on-one save from Madden landed at Craig Parker’s feet for a simple touch in.

Thurrock are in action away at Barkingside on Monday night at 7.45pm.

Thurrock: Rhys Madden, Lewis Clark, Aaron Waters, Gareth Madden (Simon King 5,9), Remi Sutton, Joe Christou, Leslie Thompson (L’heureux Menga, 67), Lewwis Spence, Brad Warner (Rob Clark, 59), Ross Wall, Charlie Stimson.

    Unused: Jordon Warren, Steven Carvell

    Attendance: 107
