THE festival offers six nights of great entertainment followed by an Oscar styled awards ceremony on the last night.

Competing groups come not only from Thurrock but also include some of the best that can be found in Essex. The first 2 nights feature two one-act plays on each night. On Monday, Teenactors present a creepy play called The Board and Blitzed Theatre company premier their intriguing new play called Untitled. Tuesday night is comedy night when Pier Players stage the famous Last Bread Pudding and Courts Players present A Secret Life.

Then, on Wednesday, Lightnin’ Drama Group will present a full length version of a play first seen in a shorter form two years ago when it had the audience in stitches. Entitled A Bit Of A Boob A T IT Again it is full of the kind of saucy humour found on seaside postcards. (Definitely not suitable for young children!)

On Thursday Courts Players repeat their successful Vicar Of Dibley which was a sell-out in February.

Friday night will be a treat for Theatre Critics and enthusiasts. Bejou Productions present The Pavilion which, according to the Houston Chronicle is "a seamless blend of humour and pathos, philosophy and emotion".

Then, on Saturday, Stageability bring the week to a hilarious close with the stage version of the TV series Allo Allo.
