THURROCK’S invitational Ladies 7s outfit The Thunderbirds were in action again this weekend playing at the prestigious Find Rugby Now tournament at Wasps RFC.
Sponsored locally by Wallis Teagan and World Freight and playing for BreakThroughBreastCancer they eventually came third on a highly competitive day in West London.
Having secured wins versus their old foes The Army charity Scottys Tigers 34-12 and the tournament hosts select team Find Rugby Now 27-12 they then had to beat The MoodyCows who were full of internationals and play for the Macmillan trust.
This was a step too far for the young ThunderBirds but coaches Dean White and Jamie Daisley were ecstatic with their performance!
ThunderBirds have just one more tournament this summer season at the county finals at Saracens on August 8th but have been invited to the world famous Dubai 7s in December and are looking for companies and individuals to help achieve this!!
