BELHUS Cricket Club will be staging the Dukes League Cup final at their North Stifford ground on Bank Holiday Monday, 31st August, 12 noon start.
The competition is for all member clubs belonging to the Shepherd Neame Essex Cricket League and this year’s event will see Brentwood and Hornchurch lock horns for trophy honours in the 45-overs per side format.
Tom Thompson, Club Secretary of Belhus Cricket Club said: “We are delighted to have been chosen by the Shepherd Neame Essex League to host this prestigious match, which is the highlight of the league’s cricketing calendar.
“Obviously a hosting of this kind cannot take place without the goodwill of our hardworking team of volunteers who have been involved in the pre-match planning and who will continue to be involved on the day of the match.
“Naturally, we extend a warm welcome to all visitors to our North Stifford ground which I am sure will be a very enjoyable occasion. Catering will be available throughout much of the day”.
