ON SATURDAY, Sudbury lost 4-0 to Thurrock and so there was alway a feeling that this was a really bad time to play the league leaders.
The Dockers stood firm for just under 70 minutes but in the end, goals by George Clarke (69′), Liam Wales (82′) and Ryan Henshaw (88′) secured three points for the Suffolk side.
This is an unforgiving league which means that Tilbury now slip to seven in the league, five points off the play off places.
Tilbury are away to Dereham on Saturday.
