THURROCK’S charity Giving for Thurrock and Tesco Extra Lakeside will be mixing eggs, flour, milk and and little bit of love to create a flippin’ fantastic pancake tossing competition on Shrove Tuesday.
On February 28th the Tesco car park will transform into a pancake loving kitchen as local folk are invited to join the pancake tossing fun and help raise some much needed cash for a range of local organisations and good causes.
To celebrate Pancake Day shoppers will be encouraged to pick up a frying pan and try out their pancake tossing skills. Everyone who takes part will get a gift – with a special prize for the fastest flipper on the day.
The event is being organised by Giving for Thurrock’s Events and Fund raising manager Teresa O’Keeffe who said;
“This is going to be a pantastic, fun event for people of all ages.
“I am really grateful to Tesco who will be supplying the pancakes and frying pans – as well as letting us loose in their car park. All you need to bring is yourself and a small donation to Thurrock’s charity – GiFT.”
