EAST Thurrock United’s season is now all about securing mid-table respectability and they helped their cause with a 2-1 victory against Oxford City on Saturday.
Goals by loan signing Akinwande in the 54th minute and Heard in the 81st minute secured al three points.
Sam Kawaja pulled one back in the 81st minute for Oxford.
The result leaves East Thurrock in twelfth place.
They return to action on Tuesday night against Chelmsford City
