THE leader of Thurrock Council, cllr Rob Gledhill rose on the floor of the council chamber to inform the council that they are set to spend over £5 million on new bin lorries.
The news comes after six lorries broke down recently due to “the hot weather”.
It appears that there are still a large number of residents that have not seen their bins collected.

Would it not be cheaper to let businesses dump rubbish at the dump.
businesses pay rates so it can be included in the payment. So the council gets its money back.
I am sick of seeing fly tipping we never use to see it years ago did we?
