WHIRLWIND Matt McCarthy of Tilbury Dockers Club retained his Essex ABA championship on friday. Boxing at 63kgs, he defeated the dangerous Luke Fowler of Billericay in front of a packed crowd.
Matt now goes onto the quarter finals of the National Champs at that weight later in the spring.
