A VITAL new scheme to help the elderly remain independent but link up to key services was launched at The Beehive yesterday (May 1).
The scheme works by contacting Contact and Connect and completing a comprehensive checklist form which includes 12 simple yes/no questions, which is then passed on to other agencies.
Other agencies involved include: Age Concern, Alzheimers Society, Thurrock Hospital, Thurrock CVS, Thurrock Fire and Rescue Services and Thurrock Police.
