BNP Councillor Emma Colgate’s vote was once again key as she supported the motion to install Cllr Wendy Herd onto the Essex Police Authority.
In a close vote, Cllr Herd defeated Chair of Labour Group, Carl Morris.
Cllr Herd replaces Aveley Cllr John Cowell who steps down after just one month due to job commitments.
Cllr Eddie Hardiman also stepped down from his position on the board of the South West Essex PCT. His place will be taken by Cllr Danny Nicklen
