For teenagers it has become the theme for 2008/09: Knife Crime. There was a hope that it wouldn’t come to Thurrock but it is clear that it has truly arrived. The weekend of June 20/21 saw several stabbing incidents around the borough.
The Thurrock Youth Cabinet have organised a conference on July 16th where 150 students across the borough will come together for a major examination of the lethal dangers of knife crime.
YourThurrock spoke to several members of the Youth Cabinet about the plans for July 16th at the Culver Centre, South Ockendon.
