The Traditional English Fair is a celebration of a tradition for town shows, which stretches
right back throught the ages of English history. At first based around market gatherings,
town shows soon grew to become entertainment events in their own right.
There is a packed schedule of entertainment throughout the Sunday at Blackshots, with
outstanding professional arena displays every hour, on the hour and song and dance from the
local Thurrock community on the main stage at the Big Top marquee. There will be stallholders
and community exhibits as well as traditional fairground rides – included with your £3
admission – hot food, drink and a licensed bar.
The day finishes with a main stage concert featuring more local performers including Grays
Town Band and Jennifer Owens – this year’s Thurrock Teen Idol.
Entry is only £3 for the whole day.
