The young people in Thurrock can “make a connexion” at various locations in the borough from Monday 3 to Saturday 8 August.
The Thurrock Youth and Connexions Service’s Make A Connexion Week primarily targets young people who are not in education, employment or training and those who are leaving school this year.
Cllr Sue MacPherson, Thurrock Council’s Cabinet member for Children’s Services said: “The events are running across different venues in Thurrock to ensure we reach as many young people as possible and are making it as interactive as possible.
“The council is very passionate about our wonderful young people and we want them engaged in constructive activities that have a lasting impact on their lives.”
There will be colleges, training providers and various young people’s services, as well as qualified personal advisors offering information, advice and guidance.
Other activities include: Hip Hop Dance Workshop, Nail Art, Course Taster Sessions, Football and Games, MC Project with Lewis Clarke and much more.
