DISGRACED ex-Royal Protection Officer Paul Page was today sentenced to six years in jail for a £3 million betting and property scam.
Page, 38, Chafford Hundred, set up a bogus property company to con colleagues, friends and family out of savings, redundancy cash and pension payouts.
The length of the sentence has surprised some people. It is possible that Page could be released in 30 months and serve a portion of the sentence in an open prison.
