COME ON give it go! Whether it is from memory or last week, this looks like an ideal time to re-acquaint yourself with the church.
All the anglican churches in Thurrock are holding special events on sunday as part of a “Back to church” sunday. We spoke to Rev. Christine McWilliams about the events at St Mary’s Church, Dock Road, Little Thurrock.
Rev McWilliams said: “Have you any photos taken at St Mary’s Dock Road Little Thurrock? Maybe it was your child’s christening or your wedding? Have you any pictures of parties in the hall, brownies events, harvest suppers, or even going back in time, have you memorabilia of the time when it was a St Mary’s school? We’d love to hear from you and see your old pictures.
“On Sunday 27th September we are having a photo sharing tea at 5.00pm in the hall. Bring out your photo albums and share your memories with us.
“This will be followed by “Songs of Praise” when we can join in singing our favourite hymns at 6.30 in the church.
“Harvest Festival October 4th at St Mary’s Dock Road at 9.30am Donations of food will be shared between Ruth House and the homeless.”
