To celebrate the UK’s Older People’s Day on the 1st October, groups from the Thurrock Outreach Partnership came together to organise the Full of Life’s Intergenerational Day at the Civic Hall in Grays last weekend.
As well as promoting an awareness about healthy living, it was also an excellent opportunity to develop the relationship between the different generations in order to ‘create a better understanding and respect’ for one another.
Throughout the day, a variety of activities, entertainment, information stands and competitions were all available for everyone to enjoy. Not forgetting the incredibly talented performances from the Creative Blast Academy and Golden Voices.
Karen Glazzard took the time to talk to YourThurrock about this incredibly successful event and what she hopes it will achieve.
