Little Thurrock Ofsted

Little Thurrock Primary School in Rectory Road, Grays has been rated as “satisfactory” at a recent inspection by Ofsted.

The report once again highlights the problem of recruiting and retaining staff in the borough.

It reserves most of its criticisms for able pupils not being pushed enough and a lack of clear guidelines by teachers but there is a host of positive comments for the school to build on including the energetic atmosphere, the respect pupils have for the school and the diverse number of trips.

There are 445 students on the school roll. Ofsted sent out questionnaires to all the parents. They received 103 back. Is it not a case that someone, somewhere should ask the 75% of parents who did not bother to complete a questionnaire: Why?
