THURROCK MP Andrew Mackinlay launched the 2009 Poppy Appeal in Grays High Street on friday.
In his speech he referred to, not only to those who had fallen in the two world wars, not only those who had fallen in Afghanistan and Iraq but also those in lesser known reaches of the world.
Mr Mackinlay unfurled the flag at the war memorial which has the words “Pause to remember” emblazoned across it.
