A 15-year-old boy has been charged with assault after a police community support officer was burned when a firework was thrown at her in South Ockendon.
The female officer was struck on the leg by a firework during an incident at Derry Road, South Ockendon at about 10.45pm on Monday October 26, 2009.
The boy, who is from South Ockendon, was charged with assaulting a PCSO during the execution of her duty under Part 4 of the Police Reform Act 2002. He was bailed to appear at Grays Youth Court on November 6.
