A 16-YEAR-OLD youth was yesterday caged as part of the South Ockendon dispersal orders.
The 16-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, committed the offence on Thursday October 29th.
South Ockendon has dispersal orders in place in Derwent Parade and Aire Drive.
The court heard that the youth was sentenced to a Community Rehabilitation Order on October 2nd but has yet to start it as there is a long waiting list.
He had been charged with theft by finding after taking two bikes in South Ockendon.
The court also heard from the youths mother who said: “He has to be out of the house after 6pm or he will wreck the joint.”
His mother broke down in tears as Judge Cooper sentenced her son to six months detention training.
