The Men’s II team beat Cranstone Park 3-1 resulting in 5 points to 1 in the first match of the winter league Division 7.
The team were :-
Mike Smith / Paul Torres who won one match 10-8 and lost the other 7-10
Terry Morgan / Gary Lewis who won both their matches 10-3 and 10-2
Both sets played very well together and the match was a credit in winter conditions on the tennis courts due to dampness and a little bit of cold breeze.
The Ladies were away to The Grove in Chelmsford but lost 4-0, the team was:-
Diane Morgan / Barbara Duck who lost 3-10 and again 3-10
Jenny Hurley / Sue Klecha who lost 1-10 and 0-10
A very hard fought match which the scores were unjustified.
