Thurrock Choral Society is putting on its “Autumn Concert” this Saturday, 14 November.
The concert is at Grays Parish Church, St. Peter and St. Paul’s, at 7.30. Tickets cost £8 (concessions £7) and children accompanied by an adult are free. The choir will be accompanied by a professional orchestra and soloists and the main item being performed is the well-known Requiem by Fauré. The conductor is the choir’s musical director, Crispin Lewis.
The choir is starting rehearsals next week for its Christmas concert and will welcome anyone who wants to join them to sing Christmas carols and other seasonal music. No experience is necessary and you don’t have to be able to read music. There are no auditions! All you need is to be keen and willing to commit to weekly rehearsals on Wednesday evenings in Grays.
