TILBURY boxer Matt McCarthy is through to the national finals of the Class B U66k category Junior Novice Championships to be held in Liverpool on Saturday.
Boxing out of the Tilbury club at Dock Road, Tilbury, Matt has had impressive wins in all five bouts so far in the championships and in the quarter and semi finals had third round stoppages in both.
He beat James Rose of Eltham ABC in the quarters and Matt Deamer of South Oxhey ABC in the semis.
