A COLLAPSING chimney stack crashed onto a busy London Road in Grays creating rush-hour havoc yesterday morning.
No-one was hurt as the stack tumbled to the ground around 7am yesterday morning but the road was cordoned off for several hours while demolition experts worked to secure the stricken stack.
Local school, Stifford primary was evacuated and the students sent home for the day.
