A TRAPPED man was rescued after he had fallen onto a jetty on Purfleet Wharf.
The man was injured around 11.30 on sunday morning and was in a precarious position as the Ambulance Service, RNLI and Coast Guard worked together to rescue the man.
The casualty was rescued by 12:45 and placed in the care of the Ambulance Service and Coast Guard.
He was then flown to Southend Airport, and transferred to Southend Hospital by ambulance, where he is being treated for a dislocated shoulder and chest pains.
