THEY HAVE piled them high along at Grays Baptist church on Orsett Road. Led by Colin Baker, the good people of Thurrock have put a variety of goodies into the boxes which by now should be winging their way to a variety of destinations around the world.
The appeal seems to have been a bit of recession-buster as it has been a bumper year. The boxes are part of Operation Christmas Child
Last year, through Operation Christmas Child, over 1.2 million shoeboxes packed full of gifts and goodies were wrapped, packed and sent to children in disadvantaged situations by children and adults in the UK.
