On the last weekend of Chanukah, the newly formed Shenfield, Brentwood and Districts Synagogue (a.k.a Rosh Tikvah), celebrated Chanukah with their first Chanukah party.
Despite the snow and ice, just under fifty people braved the streets to attend a packed house, full of latkes, doughnuts and chanukiah.
Attending the party was , Chief Rabbi of Liberal Judaism, Rabbi Danny Rich. Danny led the singing, whilst children crowded around to admire the blaze from the chanukah candles.
The party was held at the family home of the newly elected Chair, Natasha Radford. She said: ‘This is just the beginning of a very exciting time for our new community.’
