The early bird catches the worm is the trusted saying so yourthurrock cameras were not surprised to see the police going about their business at 8 o’clock in the morning in a quiet car park in Orsett Village.
But they’re not here to catch anybody out. Orsett for the last 50 years hasn’t had its own Police station so Officer John Martin brings the Mobile Police Van here, and to other communities, to give those people a chance to talk to a Police Officer without having to go to Grays or Tilbury.
We were only there 10 minutes but in that time three groups of residents bothered to pop in.
