LIVE TELEVISED Darts comes to Thurrock on thursday as Phil “The Power” Taylor and a host of other world class players take to the oche at Circus Tavern.
Top darts is so important to the borough. What other sport sees all the hotels packed on a thursday night? The Mayor, Cllr Maureen Pearce and a host of other dignitaries will be attending the opening night.
The tournament, shown LIVE on ITV4, will feature the top 32 players from Players Championship events held this year, including the Essex legend Colin Lloyd who will take on Denis Ovens in the 1st Round.
Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor who won 11 PDC World Championship Titles at the Circus Tavern and is the current world champion will take on Steve Hine in round 1.
The 1st round will be played over two evening sessions on thursday 28th, friday 29th with the 2nd round on Saturday 30th and quarter final, semi-final and final on Sunday 31st.
