The alarm was raised at Corringham Fire Station after a lollipop lady was injured in a road accident on a pedestrian crossing outside the fire station.
A crew from Corringham administered first aid while awaiting for ambulance crews to arrive at the scene. Police were also in attendance.
Station Officer Geoff Wheal, the incident commander, reported that the incident involved a woman in her fifties who is believed to be suffering from neck injuries.
She was left in the care of ambulance paramedics.
