Crews used a blanket of foam to contain a spillage of brandy after a 20 ft liquid container leaked from a lorry which had overturned.
When crews arrived at 4 Berth in the Docks they reported that the lorry carrying the load was on its side and was leaking a flammable liquid, identified from the lorry’s markings as alcohol.
The area was covered in foam as attempt were made to right the container and stop the spillage.
One man – believed to be the driver of the HGV – was injured and left in the care of Ambulance Service paramedics.
The incident was dealt with by 09:14hrs (friday)
