A PROMISING musician was part of a “frightening” mugging at Lakeside that left a youth terrified, a court heard.
The 16-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was near the Bus Stop at Lakeside on the 5th June last year when, along with two others, he approached another teenager, hit him in the head and stole a mobile phone and £13.
In mitigation, Lewis Clarke, a representative of the Youth and Connexions Service told the court that the youth had 8 GCSE’s and had embarked on a course at a local college, The youth had also volunteered countless hours working in the recording studio at the local office.
The youth, who pled guilty, was close to tears, told the court: “I am so sorry. I feel very bad.”
The case was adjourned for pre-sentencing reports.
