Among the items agreed at a meeting of Thurrock Council’s Cabinet last night were:
1. The change of planned respite provision for disabled children at the Buxton Road development from residential to day care.
2. Award of the tender for the development of 63 units for extra care housing at the former Elizabeth House site on Long Lane to the Hanover House Association. The units should be open by Dec 2012.
3. Cabinet recommended to continue to match fund the provision of 16 PCSO’s with Essex Police for the coming year.
4. Approval was granted to award the contract for the affordable homes scheme to be built in the Oxwich Close area (Project Enterprise) to East Thames.
