Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Thurrock, Carys Davis, today slammed Labour’s attempts at a pre-election Budget.

Carys said:

“Labour’s just promised a future fair for all, but Alistair Darling’s feeble Budget proves they’ve got off to a poor start.

“Freezing the level of personal tax allowance makes an already unfair system even worse, costing us ordinary taxpayers more.

“Lib Dem Shadow Chancellor Vince Cable has called this a “political dodge, not an economic plan”. It’s no wonder the Treasury have called him in for talks, Vince is the only credible authority on how to mend our economy.”

The economy debate between Vince Cable, Conservative Shadow Chancellor George Osborne and Alistair Darling will be televised on Monday 29th March, 8pm on Channel 4.

  1. The economy in teh UK is at an all time low due to mulitple failues of this Labour government, we are borrowing at our highest rate ever in peace time and who ever get in after these shambolic leaders will have their work cut out for them.

No matter who takes over at the top I can see everyone facing difficult times as cuts in services and tax rises will have to be put in place to get us out of this hole that the current Labour party have got us into.
