Thurrock under 14’s travelled to Burnham on Sunday 28th March for a friendly. They started the game slowly with some basic mistakes being made which resulted in penalties being given against them which Burnham failed to use to their advantage.
T’s however didn’t let Burnham’s mistakes go unchallenged. Burnham dropped the ball on their try line, it was quickly picked up and touched down by Kye Holloway putting T’s on the score board. The Thurrock lad’s turned their game around, proving that they were the stronger side and from that point they kept the trys coming.
T’s rucking and presenting skills kept the ball in their possession with some outstanding play from Alfie Walker, Arri Pluck, Ryan Wilkins and Callum Carswell.
T’s Jack Dinnadge touched down his first hatrick for his squad with some outstanding trys, which was also matched by T’s other try scorers Nathan Edwards, Charlie Curry and Adam Leary, with Kye Holloway converting 4 out of seven trys. The Thurrock squad came away from the game putting behind them the tough season they have had, knowing that when they put all their practise into action on match days they are the better team.
