THE GROWING number of Pentecostal churches in Thurrock are symbolic of a changing fabric in the borough’s society. It is interesting that Pastor Akin Laosun spoke passionately about bringing people together and not being little pockets of faith around the borough. This is where the challenge for community cohesion comes into play.
Putting politics aside for one second, the church were out on the streets, singing their hearts out at Easter weekend. We spoke to Akin about the message of Easter and the challenges and opportunities for the Pentecostal churches.
