IT says something about the commitment to sport in Thurrock schools that when they want the students to learn a little more about Triple Jump then they get olympian Larry Achike in to help out.
There is more to the art of triple jumping than the hop, step and jump as the students soon found out but they also found out that stars like Larry have no edge, no ego instead they are personable, polite and so keen to pass on what they know.
Larry was brought in by the Thurrock Schools Sports Partnership who are producing some fine work throughout the borough.
