The boys from Thurrock Youth Football Club Under 7’s Panthers Team enjoyed a training session and came out as Club Mascots against Basingstoke at Thurrock Football Club on saturday.
All the boys had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed both the training session and the match and could clearly be heard cheering during the 0-0 match against Basingstoke. The team are coming towards the end of their first season but Manager Joe Bennett has done a great job as Manager.
In this day and age, it is not easy combining a full time job and running an Under 7’s Football team but the boys have thoroughly enjoyed their first season as a team.
All the players are under seven years old, very enthusiastic and from Thurrock. The team are desperate for sponsorship and despite sending out some 50 letters are still looking for sponsorship to enable them to train indoors during the winter months and provide the team with further kit and training equipment to ensure they all feel part of a team and have the best training they can.
