SENIOR TORY minister Andrew Mitchell gave his full backing to Basildon South and East Thurrock candidate Stephen Metcalfe.
It was a busy day for the Shadow Minister for Overseas Development but he spent a couple of hours at the Thurrock Christian Fellowship where key local speakers shared their experiences of workin g in Bosnia, Albania and India.
Mr Mitchell was also able to share his experiences in Rwanda as part of his portfolio but also as part of the ideology of “One World Conservatism”
An experienced Tory MP for Sutton Coldfield, he was able to relate the experiences in Africa to the economic challenges of wealth creation in the UK as well as using the opportunity to endorse Mr Metcalfe.
