Young Tories v Old Labour?

ONE of the most fascinating aspects of the local campaigns is the contrasting make-up of the two major parties. While Labour are relying on traditional Labour husband and wife teams, the Tories have had a remarkable infusion of fresh activists.

Are they are credible alternative? Can they really represent the people in the council chamber? If you are good enough, they are old enough, some say. Others say, they need a little bit more life experience before they represent the people.

Prospective Conservative candidate in The Homesteads, James Halden has been at the very epicentre of the Tory campaign over the last two years. We will be interviewing James about his specific campaign later this week but he wanted to challenge the assertion that “You win nothing with kids.”
