Following the success of last year’s Back to Netball sessions, Thurrock Council’s Sport Development team has joined forces with South Essex Thurrock Netball Association (SETNA) and Netball East to provide women with the opportunity to get fit, have fun, socialise – and play netball.
Last year saw over 50 women take part in the sessions, with several teams forming as a result. Due to this success, it is hoped that more women will get Back to Netball in 2010.
Sessions will be held at Hassenbrook School, Hassenbrook Road, Stanford-Le-Hope, on Thursdays from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, for six weeks, starting on 6 May 2010. Cost is just £2 per session. There’s no need to book – just turn up.
Back to Netball is aimed at any ladies aged 16 and over who haven’t played for months, or even years – so it’s never too late to get Back to Netball!
