In an effort to find a suitable production that will suit both cast and gain an audience Thurrock Courts Players have written their own play entitled “Waiting For Godfrey”.
Writer and director Vic Gray admits openly the title is stolen from Beckett’s “Waiting for Godot” but there any similarity ends.
This is a tale of an airport lounge and the comings and goings of its passengers. Throw in a strange welsh security guard , an alcoholic grandmother , four dodgy golfers, a model and Godfrey himself and the plot thickens. This play has a mixture for everyone.
The world premiere is at the Thameside Theatre on Thursday 27th May and runs to the 29th . Performances at 7.45.
